TRUE MUSLIM: Sadio Mane Refuses To Hold a Glass of Beer In Group Photo With Teammates

Senegalese forward Sadio Mane excused himself from holding a glass of beer in Bayern Munich’s latest team photo. The German giants took a group picture following their new pa.

In a photo posted on social media, Mane and defender Noussair Mazraoui were the only two players who did not hold the glass of Paulaner.

The reason for the two players refusing to hold the beer was in respect of their religious beliefs.

Mane and Mazraoui are practising Muslims and abhor the consumption of Alcohol. Sadio Mane joined the German giants in the summer transfer window after six successful season with Liverpool. The Africa Cup of Nations winner is having a blistering start to his career with the Bavarians after netting four goals in five games for the German champions.

Earlier, we reported that Sadio Mane showed his appreciation to 150 Liverpool staff for supporting him during his days at the club. The Senegal forward left Liverpool in the summer transfer window to join Bayern Munich, after a trophy-laden six season as Anfield. According to the Daily Mail, the Bayern Munich forward send boxes of chocolate and a thank you message to staff of the club including cleaners.
