Sir Alex Ferguson Still Earns a Handsome Paycheck 9 Years After Leaving Manchester United

Legendary football coach Sir Alex Ferguson is still in Manchester United’s paybooks. Ferguson, who retired more than 9 years ago, is the most successful coach that the club has ever had. It has now been revealed that he continues to earn a decent amount of money even in his retirement.

Sports Bible reports that Ferguson earns close to 235,000 euros every week for his role as the club’s global ambassador.

Even more interestingly, Ferguson only has to work for 20 days the whole year. The figure Ferguson earns is well beyond what many Manchester United stars earn at the moment. Cristiano Ronaldo remains the best-paid player in the division with a salary of 515,000 euros weekly. He is then followed by David De Gea, Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and new signing Casemiro, who all earn 300,000 euros or more. According to figures from Sportrac, Antony Martial and Bruno Fernandes are next on United’s list. After the duo, all the other players earn less than what Ferguson takes home weekly for his role at Old Trafford.
