Former Chelsea Star Reveals His Fury At Tuchel As He Mentions Why Lukaku Was A Problem To Him

Very few Chelsea fans could argue right now that it was right to fire Thomas Tuchel. The former Chelsea manager was however behind the decision to sign Romelu Lukaku which in turn led to Timo Werner’s reduced role on the pitch.

Timo Werner who currently lines up for RB Leipzig could face Manchester City on Wednesday. Before the game, Werner gave an in-depth interview revealing his struggles while playing for Chelsea FC.

According to the German striker, Tuchel mistreated him during his second season at Chelsea. Werner was one of Chelsea’s best players during the first season as he helped the team win the Champions League.

The striker went on to mention how difficult it was for him to get dropped to the bench even though he had helped Chelsea win the Champions League and had played almost every game. He also noted that he had a big problem with Lukaku, who was signed for millions of money.

“The biggest problem was Tuchel put a striker ahead of me even though I had won the Champions League with Chelsea by playing nearly every game with the first squad,” Werner revealed.
